Bending and Windthrow due to a Major Windstorm.

This picture shows wind damage in quaking aspen (Populus tremuloides) in Chequamegon National Forest located in northern Wisconsin resulting from a windstorm in July 1999. The majority of damage is in the form of bending and windthrow rather than stem breakage.
