Average annual atmospheric deposition of sulfur and nitrogen (1999-2003).

Total deposition (particle + SO2 + precipitation + cloud water) expressed in terms of kilo-equivalents of charge per hectare per year in this map centered on New Hampshire and Vermont; N deposition includes both ammonium + nitrate forms. This represents the total base-neutralizing and cation-leaching power of S and N atmospheric deposition.
